Sweet little Brody’s Momma got ahold of me to do his 1 year and family photos.  I was so excited to head up to Kit Carson Park, until I actually got there.  First, the area I like to use is closed until next year for renovations.  Next, there was a frisbee golf tournament going on, so they had a huge portion of the park closed off for the.  And last, the sun was a little high for my taste.  Well, because of all that, I had to do a little exploring before the shoot and I ended up finding the perfect spot!!

I have known this beautiful momma since we were in high school.  When I was home visiting my parents we set up a little family shoot for them.  Isn’t her boy just the cutest thing?!?

I first photographed this family back when their youngest son was just a newborn.  Since then they have left San Diego and moved to Colorado, but they can’t seem to stay away.  While they were out here on vacation, we were able to meet up for a family session on the beach in La Jolla.  It is always so much fun when I get to see them!

We started planning this session so long ago I can’t even remember!!  Abbey came to me wanting a “Happy Ever After” sign to use in a photo shoot with her family for her fifth anniversary after the great wedding they had in a farm, since this barn is an amazing wedding location and it made a great place to build memories.  I just happened to have all the stuff to make the sign for her.  Next, I made the dresses for her girls out of the parts from her wedding dress.  I also made her a special pillow using the lace from her daughters dress from the wedding.  She really wanted to do a vintage style picnic and she even brought her bouquet for the set up.  After we finished, we headed down the hill into Old Town and found some places for some more fun photos.  Happy anniversary you two!!

Eeeek I almost can’t stand how adorable little Jr. is!!!  His mom brought some pretty awesome outfits along and he was just the sweetest thing.  I just love 6 month olds!

My favorite part of the Watch Me Grow package is that I get to spend so much time with these amazing families and watch the little ones blossom.  Miss Sophia was the first in a string of 6 and 9 month olds and I just love this age!

I adore this family.  Miranda is a dear friend of mine and has the cutest kids.  When we went and did these photos, little Elias wasn’t feeling too well and pretty much cried the entire time.

I can’t say enough good things about Brenda and her family.  She is the organizer of the moms group I’m in and does so much for all of us.  A bunch of the other ladies in the group got together and pooled their money to giver her a photos session with me as a way to say thanks.
