I had so much during this session.  Such a sweet family!!  There were so many great ones that I had a really hard time narrowing them down, so you get to see a lot more than I would normally post!!

I know I have said it before, but I belong to a great group of women.  These women are some of my best friends and we are like our own little family.  Well, it just so happens that there are a bunch of them that are expecting!!!  It is really exciting for all of us to watch these new babies come into our group.

This photo shoot was special to me for a couple of reason.  I have known Julie for many years now.  I think I was probably in high school when I first met her when she lived down the road from my parents.  She is like family to us.  The other reason is that she is having TWINS!  As a fellow twin mom, I know what an adventure they are in for!  Having twins is such an amazing experience and I can’t wait to meet her two girls.

Julie and her husband, Bill, are avid surfers and are part of Surfrider Foundation.  I thought it was fitting that this shoot was done at Sunset Cliffs looking out at the ocean.  It really couldn’t have been a more beautiful evening.

I wish them all the luck with their baby girls, that are due in December.  I can’t wait to meet them!!!

Sometimes people come along in this world that make you remember that there really are true, genuine friends still out there.  Miranda is one of those people.  I met her through the playgroup I’m involved with and you can’t help but like her.  She has a sweet little girl and as I type this, she is in the hospital welcoming her new son!!  I truly can’t wait to meet this new little guy.  I know he will be a perfect addition to their family and a wonderful new playmate for his sister. I’ve decided it’s time for another giveaway!  For this giveaway, I want you to nominate a family that you think is deserving of a free photo session with Saflower Photography.  Do you know a family that is going through some hardships, or maybe a family where a loved one is about to be deployed?  Maybe there is a family out there that has helped you or the community in some way and you would like to give back to them.  You may not nominate yourself! In a couple months I will do another giveaway where you can enter yourselves.

To nominate a family, all you have to do is send an email to shae@saflowerphotography.com with “giveaway” in the subject line, telling me about the family and why you want to nominate them.  They need to live in the San Diego or King City/Lockwood area, or be willing to travel there.  I will have a few impartial judges select the three that they think are most deserving.  I will then share the stories with you and put it up for a vote.  Please have your nomination in by January 21, 2011.
