Winner | Lockwood Photographer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">When I think back to my childhood and the way I was raised, my memories always include\u00a0 the &#8220;canyon kids.&#8221;\u00a0 I grew up on a small ranch in the middle of nowhere that was located up a four mile dirt road.\u00a0 Along this road is several other families and ranches.\u00a0 Growing up there was such a unique experience.\u00a0 There was about a dozen kids all within a couple years of each other and we were all best friends.\u00a0 During the hot summers we would all hang out in each others pools and explore the many trails that went through the bottom of the canyon.\u00a0 When other kids were out riding bikes, we were all riding dirt bikes and 4-wheelers.\u00a0 When other kids were playing with toys, we were out shooting guns.\u00a0 When other kids were having slumber parties, we were sleeping under the stars in the middle of a field.\u00a0 Our parents never had to worry where we were and who we were with.\u00a0 There were very few fences in the canyon, and the fields that did have them, had gates that were never locked.\u00a0 It truly was an amazing experience.\u00a0 It just so happens that one of the &#8220;canyon kids&#8221; won the giveaway.\u00a0 Laurye and I always had so much fun together.\u00a0 When we used to play together, it was like we were in our own little world.\u00a0 It was so much fun being able to photograph her beautiful family back at our old stompin&#8217; grounds.\u00a0 Here is a little peek at this wonderful family.<\/p>\n<p
