Baby Alex | San Diego Photographer
May 4, 2012This little peanut was such a delight to photograph!

This has been one of my favorite shoots! There nothing more fun than just playing.

I am a firm believer in the concept of Karma. When I plugged the numbers into the random number generator to pick a winner for the photo shoot giveaway, I knew karma was at work when Charlene’s number came up.
When my twins were 4 month old I hardly knew anyone in San Diego and I was a new mom stuck in the house. I joined up with a local playgroup just to get out of the house and reclaim some of my sanity. Charlene was the first person I met and she made me feel so welcome and assured me that I wasn’t alone. She always goes out of her way to make everyone feel so welcome to our group. Her youngest son is a few months older that my twins so its always fun watching them play together.
I am so happy I was able to do this for her and her family. She has done so much for our group and all the people in it and I’m glad that karma was on her side!

#3!! Congratulations Abbey! I’ll be emailing you later today.

Wow, 1,000 fans! Seems a little hard to believe. In honor of all my fans I will be doing 2 separate giveaways. This one is for local San Diegans only! I am giving away a full photo session for up to 5 people. The shoot includes about an hour of my time, on location, plus you will also get a DVD with approximately 20 images. There will be a nominal charge if there are more than 5 people.
The giveaway winner will be selected by a random number generator on Friday, January 27, 2012 and will be announced here, on my blog.
A second giveaway for the non-local fans will be posted tomorrow.
The Details: You have 2 opportunities to enter.
For entry number 1, make sure you like my fan page and then leave a comment here on this blog post telling me that you “liked” it. Pretty easy huh?
For entry number 2, just post about this giveaway on your Facebook page. A sample status update would look something like this:
“Saflower Photography is giving away a photo session in San Diego. Go check it out! http://saflowerphotography.com/?p=699“
Make sure it is set to the public setting because I will be checking. Once you have done that, just come back here and leave me a second comment with a link to your page so I can verify it.
The session will be held in the San Diego area. If you are not local, you can either give the session as a gift, or there will be a separate giveaway posted tomorrow.
The fine print: This giveaway is in no way associated with Facebook. It is solely sponsored by Saflower Photography. There is no cash value for the prizes and there is no purchase necessary.
I have to approve all comments, so if it doesn’t show up, it’s OK. It will be there as soon as I approve it.

I first met Mandy wayyyyyyy back in high school. She didn’t speak English very well and we were so opposite of each other that we never really got along. Fast forward four years to college. I walked into my first class and she was there. Since she was the only person I actually knew, we sat next to each other. Ever since then, she has been one of my best friends. She recently got married and had a beautiful baby girl. Its unfortunate that we live across the state from each other.

I can’t believe how fast my kids are growing up. I feel like it was just yesterday that we were bringing them home from the hospital. It is just amazing watching them grow into little people.

This year I participated in the Scott Kelby World Wide Photo Walk again. I didn’t really care for the walk locations that were here in San Diego, So I headed up to Lockwood for the week and did the walk in Morro Bay with my dad. We had a really great time and met some new people.
